It will go from my FFL to your FFL no direct shipping.

So not even CCW permit or LE credentials will waive your FFL requirement?

As an FFL and retired Fed, I will chime in and ask why do you want an FFL transfer if buyer is not in Tucson? You can ship directly within the state of AZ if you are satisfied that buyer is a legit AZ resident. I am sure you are aware of the laws, however you are making the sale harder for yourself. Just my .2 cents

PM'd you about creds.I got your PM, thanks for the clarification.

I'm new here, so forgive me if this is out of line, the items are sold, so I don't feel as tho this is really "crapping" in your thread, but I feel the need to comment.

I moved here from Colorado where up until 2013 our gun laws were very similar to Arizona, post July 2013 the Democrats rammed a background check and magazine capacity bill down the throats of it's citizens despite vehement opposition from a majority of residents, most sheriff departments, and even Magpul (who eventually moved there CO headquarters over it). I say this because FTF transfers (sans FFL) are a great freedom we have here, and shouldn't be taken for granted.

I totally understand wanting to weed out the flakes and shady folks, as I've canceled private party sales due to shady characters upon meet up. You always have the right to decline a sale if someone doesn't seem up to snuff, and you can even require bill of sale. Just my two cents, congrats on the sale, fine looking 1911's.

I don't consider it crapping on a thread at all. Free speech and all :) I will throw a story out there of why I am paranoid sometimes. I first moved here and did a transfer through an FFL in Tucson. Later I get a call from ATF branch in Tucson stating the AK I transferred through this FFL actually was using names and ID of people to get guns into Mexico. You can find that real quick on Tucson news. Anyways, after dealing with ATF and shitstorm for a while I am extra cautious. Thankfully they never used my info for this as I am not the "normal" ID as I'm built like an offensive lineman. Now yes that was an FFL doing shady shit but usually I prefer transfers that way. Ill be more open minded on my next sale which you will see shortly.

Was that part of that West of the Pecos debacle?

Also had a partner that went down with him who was the actual FFL front.

IIRC, West of the Pecos was one that was involved with Obummer's F&F...Will have to Google it.

Squatch,

A large % of people buying guns from private entities in AZ are connected in one way or an other to the Cartels as you mentioned. That's why a Bill of Sale is needed to cover your behind (CYA). Once you provided info on the purchaser ATF moves on to the next guy in line. I get calls from them every 4-5 months tracking a weapon I sold as an FFL. AGAIN, everyone... CYA!!!! You will have squeaky clean guys showing up with CCWs to pick up the weapons and you know right away something smells. Just my .2 centavos!!!
