Buying a handgun at 18

I turned 18 last September and and a bit puzzled on if i can buy a handgun. I know i cant ccw. But i read that i can buy a handgun throught a private sale and opwn carry lawfully. If anyone can clarify this that would be great! Thanks in advanced.

In Arizona, you can purchase a handgun at 18, but not from an FFL. You can purchase from a private owner, or be gifted a handgun, and you are the owner. However, you can only open carry - CCW is strictly 18 and over. And don't let that shirt slip down over your open carry holster .

Yes , it is legal in Arizona for a person 18 years old to purchase a handgun in a private sale as long as both parties are residents of Arizona.
There is no Arizona or Federal law that prohibits it.
The Federal law only says that an FFL can not sell a handgun to anyone under 21.

Yes you can even open carry at 18! What I am trying to emphasize is if you are pulled over for ANY reason they WILL take it away from you that's all.
