Edit - I got my packing all sorted out and was able to comfortable carry 400rds. Thanks to everyone for your replies and offers. Happy shooting!

Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out from behind enemy lines in California. I'll be visiting your free state for a pistol class @ Tacsafe on March 10.

Due to Southwest's baggage rules I can only carry enough ammo (11lbs gross) to put me at the minimum round count for the class. I'm hoping someone can spare a couple boxes so I'm not THAT guy who has to sit out the rest of class not having enough ammo. The catch is I arrive late (9pm) on Weds March 10 and the class is Thursday morning at 8am so there isnt time for me to drive around or visit an LGS, especially since I'll have to wait for checked luggage and grab a car after I land.

I'm staying next to PHX and willing to meet late Weds evening near me. I know the prospect of meeting some random dude late at night to sell ammo isn't appealing for either of us but I'm willing to chat beforehand to put us both at ease. I'm willing to pay .75cpr if you can come to me or .60cpr if I travel out to you. At these prices you probably wont make much of a profit but you'll have the satisfaction of helping a brother out :)
I'm looking for any brand of decent factory loads, please no remanufactured ammo.

Thanks for reading.

I might me able to help you out.
Would Sellier & Bellot 115gr work for you?
Do you know what part of town you'll be staying?
Cross streets could be helpful.

IF State and Federal law allow the sale i will sell you 100 rounds the day of the class and deliver to the class to ensure the ammo is used at the class .75 again only if state and federal law permits .. it is winchester target ammo new in box .. 100 rounds .. if the class is more that 20 miles then there will be be additional charge for delivery based on the miles .. i live close to downtown Phx.

A better solution would be for us to trade ammo if you have 22LR ammo

Hi Max,
I cant trade ammo, my predicament is that I can only take a small quantity of ammo with me on the plane due to weight. Thanks for your offer though.

From what i've read are no laws against PTP sales. The only trouble would be if I try to bring ammo back to California. The class is 45miles north of PHX so I dont think it'll work out but thanks again for your offer.

The law appears to be vague about transferring ammo and ensuring that you use all the ammo for the class and no ammo transferred to u is returned to CA and since the class is 45 miles north of Phx .. i will not be providing 9mm ammo to err on the side not violating any federal or state laws...

What is tacsafe? Why doesn't Tacsafe have some for sale for students?
For 75 cents a round, you should just call the gun shops. I think that is the going price at C2 for 9mm.

Good idea, I will call Tacsafe.https://www.tacsafeaz.com/

They're hosting at their range, the class isnt through them. As far as shops go, I cant make it in time. My flight lands at 8pm and from what I have found online they all close around 6-7pm

I've lived in Phoenix for 35 years and never heard of them. I'd be glad to toss you a couple boxes, but I can't meet your time frame.
