SOLD AS OF 2/21
Up for sale is a Smith and Wesson model 1917. The barrel is US property marked, however there are no additional proof marks. This indicates that this is a post war gun. The pistol is numbers matching. It has been reblued and the grips have been changed out for some more modern wood grips. As a neat bonus the assembly numbers S&W used to match cylinders and frames are still legible and matching.
It runs flawlessly in double action, however in single action it regularly has light primer strikes with federal ammo (I have not tried any other brands). The gun obviously was neglected for a while as there is some pitting in the chambers. Rounds hang up while ejecting but it does not require the use of an additional rod to remove them.
I'm primarily looking to trade this gun. I'm primarily looking for a .45 auto loader, Lee Enfields, CETME-L, or AK's in 5.45. I'll also trade for 9MM or 5.56. Honestly I have gun ADHD so I might take anything cool.
I will, of course, add cash on top of my revolver for some of those items I listed.
