Who shoots Tuesday Night Steel? Speak up!

I'll be shooting either this coming Tuesday or the following Tuesday. I opened my mouth and said if someone provided me with a Hi Point then I would shoot the match with it. Sure as hell, someone told me to put my money where my mouth is and provided a Hi Point. This should be interesting.

Are there any written range rules that say you can not throw your firearm at a target?? bwhaha

So, I'm semi new to the area and don't yet do much of anything. What is this Tuesday night steel you speak of and where is it?

I'm interested too, still relatively new to the valley and don't know much of anything about the gun community down here.

I've competed in Tuesday Night Steel matches. You'll need a couple extra mags for your Hi Point John.

Oh and although there are no specific rules about throwing your pistol. There is a rule that you must maintain absolute control of your firearm at all times :)

You're going to want 5 or 6 minimum for a match.

Forgive my ignorance, but why? Am I really going to shoot 40 rounds in a single stage?

I just started going to TNS and so far on each stage I've shot no less than 18 hits and no higher than 32 hits. Each stage is listed with an amount of hits on target, not shots. Everybody misses so you need to make sure you have enough ammo on your person to complete the stage. Stages are different each week and they recommend a to bring 150 or so rounds. It's a lot of fun and worth the $12.

Mostly you're going to want as many mags as possible because even on the slim chance that YOU personally don't suck...you're going to be shooting a Hi Point, which will suck.

Second...the chances of at least one stage having a mandatory reload somewhere in the mix is usually 50/50, so you'll be down a mag.

The round count can be as low as 16, but as high as 24-36, or with multiple runs and if we have to wait for you to load mags between runs, we will prison rape you on the table and Tommy will use my DQ pen (red Sharpie) to draw nipples on your shoulder blades, and red crotch hair on the crack of your ass. True story....he's just that fucked up.

As good as I am...and I am damned good...when I shoot single stack, for all those reasons...I have 6 spares on my belt.

AND AND AND....as we all know...the weak link in ANY bottom feeder is a bad magazine. If you have a mag fail, you don't want to be shit outta luck on the whole match because of a bad mag.

When I shoot the M&P, I'm set for mags with it. I have 10 or so full size mags and 3 compact mags.

I am ready.

BTW: 165gr .401" Coated LRNFP over 4.2gr of TiteGroup. It will give you 840-850fps, and is dead nuts accurate out of a standard Glock barrel FUCK STORM LAKE AND LONE WOLF (You won't shoot the gun well enough to get the extra cunthair of potential accuracy out of it anyway).
