So I bought a Mossberg 185K-A for my wife so she could come out and do some clay shooting. Well, she absolutely hated the weight of this shotgun. So I tried it, with full 1oz loads I felt no recoil even with the C-lect choke turned to a full choke. But the rise, lop, and cast off didn’t work for me and for the first time I missed every clay tossed. So here we are now, with it up for sale or trade.
Now it is kinda unique. It has a “C-lect “ choke, a ported barrel, on a bolt action magazine fed 20 gauge. The magazine holds 2 rounds and is detachable.
The bad: it was not stored properly or cared that well for. You can see the surface rust, and handling marks on the metal and wood. But not bad for a shotgun manufacturered between 1945 - 1950.
I’ve looked for pricing and these are all over the board. So here’s my thought on the price, $300 but open to discussion.
Trades I’d take: I’m a sucker for NAA minis I don’t have in my collection (Gaurdian 32 ACP top of the list), I’d really like an O/U single trigger in either 12 or 28 gauge.
I’m open to others, the worst I can say is I already have it, or that I appreciate the offer but I’ll have to pass.
I do live near downtown Mesa, but work down by the capital and would prefer to meet near one of those. No bill of sale needed, just a quick AZ id flash, CCW & LEOSA preferred.
