Hello all,
I have two old Colts for sale or trade, details as follows:
A nice original Type III Colt 1903 in .32 ACP. Serial #149XXX, manufactured in 1913. Blueing is original and would say very good with typical wear for a 111 year old pistol. Somewhere along the line some dumbass etched the initials “RF” on the right side of the frame just above the grip. I purchased it this way and the forum member that I purchased it from claimed the same. The “fire blue” on the small parts is still evident but doesn’t show well in photos. Bore is very good as well with plenty of life left in it. Functions as it should and comes with one original magazine. $800 for this one.
Second pistol is a Colt 1908 vest pocket in .25 ACP. Serial #619xx, manufactured in 1912. Someone re-blued this at some point but did an excellent job. Had they not re blued the grip safety and thumb safety you might not notice. The roll marks remain sharp. Bore is very good to excellent which is tougher and tougher to find. Pistol comes with one original magazine, one aftermarket magazine and a complete parts kit less frame. Functions as it should. $600 for this one.
Ill do $1200 for both if someone is interested. Not in a hurry to sell, so please don’t send low ball offers or try and argue value. It’s totally cool with me if you don’t want them.
Trade wise, I am interested in the following (plus cash where appropriate):
J or K frame Smiths in .38 or .357, 4” bbl or less. I prefer pre-lock pistols but it’s not necessarily a deal breaker
Colt detective special
Ruger SP 101, GP 100, LCR in .38 or .357 4” bbl or less
*concealed hammer a plus
Ruger M77 in .308 or .30-06, MUST have iron sights and prefer wood stock
Older Mossberg 500 or Remington 870, 18-20” bbl and wood furniture (not interested in retrograde model)
FTF with valid AZ ID, no prohibited possessors. I am located in Central Phoenix. Willing to meet at Cabelas on west side or Bass Pro on the east side. Shoot me a text at foureightzerofoureightsevennineeightsevensix.
