With the closure of Miller Road and Flat Iron Mountain, does anyone know of a place in the west valley to shoot in the desert? I am a responsible shooter and clean up after myself. Thanks in advance.

There are a LOT of places in the far West Valley to legally target shoot. BUT the problem I see all the time is, when I or probably anyone else finds a new location and other people find out about it, within a few weeks it gets trashed! So I and a lot of the people I know have been very cautious about telling people where to go. Your best bet is to start hanging out around a small local shop and get to know some of the workers and regulars and try to get info from them. Good luck, there are some great places to go in the West Valley and we have multiple spots that we can shoot out to 1,000+ yards and absolutely no one around or trash! It took me quite a long time to find these spots but it was worth the work.

Hello all...new here.
Wanting to know if anyone can confirm the status of Table Mess Rd. I've read conflicting information and want to see if anyone has any recent experience there.
No worries about packing out here, kind of a naturist, dont even litter my cigarette butts.
TIA

I've had good luck using a combination of land ownership maps (gaia gps has a good one but you have to pay for a subscription), topo and satellite maps to find places. Topo and satellite to find good potential backstops, land ownership to make sure its legal to shoot on. Best of luck.
