Selling a Russian 1940 Tula 91/30 Mosin-Nagant that was captured and put into service by the Finnish Army during WWII. This rifle did not undergo the usual Soviet post-war refurbishment so common on most Mosin-Nagant rifles that are prevalent today. The only importer's mark is a small text stamp on the underside of the barrel. The rifle has the Finnish Army 'SA' stamp on the receiver, and the receiver & barrel appear to have been re-blued by the Finns. Other characteristics present on this rifle that are common with Finnish Army captures include metal shims between the action/bottom metal and the stock to improve accuracy, a backbored muzzle to address/prevent future crown damage, and some trigger work. Bore is good - a little dark but strong rifling. The safety cocking piece is heavily pitted. See pics. The wood stock is also refinished but it appears the wood refinish was likely done by someone other than the Finns. The rifle shoots well. Handloads group at ~ 1.5" at 100 yards.
Accessories include: sling, metal oil/solvent bottle, tool kit, ammo pouches, bayonet (does not fit rifle - some file work needed), spare firing pin, 40 rounds of factory PPU 150-grain softpoints. 17 rounds of surplus, steel cased (copper or brass-washed) ammo, 20 handloads (recipe: PPU brass, 150-grain Sierra Pro Hunter soft point, 45.0 grains IMR 4895 powder, WLR pirimer), and 15 fired PPU cases.
