I bought a surplus USGI FN M16A2 upper back when you used to be able to find them, and replaced the A2 for the flat A4 receiver and took off the A2 handguards and replaced with the Knights RAS M5 to turn it into the M16A4 version. The whole upper is genuine USGI except for the A4 receiver. I still have the FNA2 upper if you want it (roll marked FA) or I can convert it back to the M16A2 configuration.
Barrel is roll marked FNMI MP 5.56 NATO 1/7
I fired it only around 200 rounds but I have no idea how much it was fired in the Marines. I would assume not much at all as the rifling is in great shape and this barrel shoots very tight groups with match ammo.
It did not come with a BCG when I bought it from dealer so I purchased a new LMT M16 BCG for it.
The lower half I bought all new parts, but has now been fired roughly 200 times, so still like new.
