yes. Yes I would. I don’t need you to wipe my Fanny either. Stop trying to police the internet. It’s a losing proposition.
we want BACKPAGE returned.
Run this site like that and you will have more traffic and sell more ads then you ever could.
there’s a reason this thread is the hottest thread and it’s not because people are voicing praise. This is FEEDBACK…do with it what you will.
Or ban me, it’s your site not mine, im just looking for something BETTER and I’d like it to be this site…fuck it. Make me a MOD. The only MOD. I’ll let it all fly and when people cry about scammers I’ll do the same NOTHING I do when they cry about phone scammers.
stop the hand holding. There’s an old saying “a fool and his money will soon be parted” it existed before the internet, so it’s prob still okay
besides. If it’s not FTF who makes that deal……ON A LOCAL FURUM?!
Everyone can go buy and run their own servers/pay for their own webhosting services, software etc, instead of complaining how a free site is run.
I didn’t see anyone offering to pay for any services, just complaining about the free shit they get for free.
People that get banned here, get banned for trends.
I have to do a pile of research before anyone usually gets the hammer.
To be candid, most everyone here are tire kickers and “undocumented” FFL’s, and we are doing our best to limit the liability of the forum itself.
If that isn’t to your liking, see the first sentence of my post.
Yamillikes this
No, what I'm saying is that I'd like you to reevaluate the way you approach posters. That's all. You can still do your job without resorting to the above. It's not productive. I'd love to engage you on ways to improve the site, but I'm not confident at this point (after a year of watching your specific moderation) that I'd be able to help at all.
I'd say we have the same goals, but two very different ways to go about it.
And banning me because you think this is an insulting post is only fortifying this point...I mean no offence, but the moderation here can be so heavy handed as to be deleterious to the site as a whole. There needs to be accountability for mods, too. I'd honestly like to help if you'll have it.

The original post was merely asking about what was happening with the site from an "uptime" perspective. There are plenty of webservers that are antigun, and I generally assumed it's people messing with us that ended up causing the downtime.
I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm honestly asking - how much do you personally pay monthly/yearly directly for this site? In addition, how would you suggest people contribute? I don't even know if there's a way to pay for membership.
In addition, how are site/moderation suggestions evaluated for incorporation?

By the way, this is the only AZ site I trust anymore because of scammers, and I know I have the moderation to thank for that. I've had plenty of good conversations and a few meetups because of this site, and each time I'm more comfortable because of my experiences here and the anti-scam tactics used.
Because of this, I want to see this site succeed, but in order to do that it has to be welcoming and available to all. I know it's a fine line, but there are ways to make that happen that I think the community can help with.
I don’t think the mods are interested in your feedback. There are other sites. Go check out https://www.arizonashooting.org they have a pretty solid forum and mods take feedback much better.
