Hello, someone told me that there is a restiction on shooting because of fire I have looked on blm and fish and game websites and did not see anything, is this true

I have heard the same thing, but have also researched and have found nothing !

What he said. Use that as a reference... signs are posted and be aware of the VERY strict enforcement. When in doubt, ask the law enforcement agencies associated with each area (US Forest Service and BLM), but a general rule of thumb is shooting is prohibited from late April through early Sept. It can end in august with heavy rainfall, or go through October if its a dry monsoon season. The citations can be very expensive and include jail time if damage occurs, and in the event of a fire, if you are found responsible, they will prosecute and stick you with all associated costs of extinguishing the fire. See below, this guy is done for the rest of his life, and federal fines cant be written off in a bankruptcy.
