Rifle scope turret replacement

Hey guys, question for ya, just inherited a rifle with a Japanese made tasco MAG iv - 50 5-20x50 power. love the scope, i know there are better on the market, but it's the one my grandfather had on it so i's like to keep it on. only issue is I'm not fond of the turrets on it and was wondering if it would be a pain in the ass to change them out, and what all is into the change up, if its as easy as screwing something out and screwing something in then i will do it. If not i'll just leave it.
