I moved to AZ from KS about 18 months ago. Will my CCW transfer over to AZ? I heard you do not need CCW to carry concealed, true? If true why get CCW? How long is AZ CCW good?

Permit is Good for 5 years. You will have to contact our Concealed weapon permit unit to ask if your permit qualifies you for an AZ permit (https://www.azdps.gov/About/Contacts/Email/?c=CCW).

AZ is a constitutional carry state so no permit is required unless you want to carry in a place where alcohol is served for on premises consumption.

Yes. Contact DPS and get an application packet. Fill out the application, get the fingerprint cards done and then include a photo copy of your KS CCW.

AZ is Constitutional carry. AZ CCW is good for 5 years.

Reasons to get an AZ CCW

1. Can legally carry into establishments that serve alcohol as long as you ar not consuming.
2. Must have CCW permit to carry a concealed weapon within 1000 feet of a school.
3. Reciprocity in 37 states.
4. AZ CCW is a legal substitute for a NICS check when purchasing a firearm from a licensed dealer.
