Sales Rules — Please Read Before Posting

These rules are subject to change at any time, with or without notice. It is each member’s responsibility to review the rules periodically and stay up to date.
Failure to follow these rules may result in your post being deleted, locked, an infraction being issued, or your account being suspended or banned.

1. General Sales Rules
No Auction Links
Auction links are not allowed.

Membership Fee
Initial membership is free.

If your membership is revoked or suspended due to rule violations or misconduct, reinstatement may require a $10.00 fee per attempt.
Disrespectful behavior toward administrators or moderators may result in additional consequences, including account restrictions or reinstatement fees.
Think before you post.

2. Firearm Sales Restrictions
No 80% Firearm Sales

Sales of 80% receivers or 80% firearms are strictly prohibited.
This includes:
Completed 80% receivers
Unfinished 80% receivers
Any item commonly referred to as an “80%” firearm or receiver
Only factory-manufactured, factory-serialized, complete firearms are permitted.
This rule is absolute due to current and proposed laws and regulations. It is not open for debate.

Private Sales
Private firearm sales are legal in Arizona; however, the seller may require the transaction to be completed through a dealer using a 4473 transfer.
If the seller requires a dealer transfer, the buyer must respect that decision without complaint.
The firearm belongs to the seller, and the seller sets the terms of the transaction.

NFA Items
Posting NFA items is prohibited at this time.
If future court decisions or legal changes affect this policy, the forum may update the rules regarding items that were formerly NFA-restricted.

Prohibited Buyers
Do not sell firearms to:
Prohibited possessors
Minors
Anyone you know or reasonably believe cannot legally own or possess a firearm
Do not put yourself, this forum, or the community at risk.

3. Who May Buy, Sell, or Trade
Only Arizona residents may buy, sell, or trade on this page.
The following individuals are not allowed to use this site for buying, selling, or trading:
Minors
Criminals
Prohibited possessors
Anyone unable to pass a 4473 background check
If you cannot legally possess a firearm, you are not welcome to use this site.

4. Allowed Items
The Private Party Firearm Sales forum is for firearm sales only.
The following items must be posted in their appropriate forums:
Dealer sales
Gun parts
Accessories
Ammunition
Holsters
Optics
Other non-firearm items

5. Posting Requirements
Pictures Are Required
Every sale or trade ad must include pictures at the time of posting.
Do not post an ad and say:
“Pictures coming later”
“Email me for pictures”
“PM for pictures”
Ads without pictures may be deleted.
Picture requirements:
Photos must be real pictures taken by you
Internet catalog photos, Google Images, or stock photos are not allowed
Pictures must show the actual item being sold or traded
Pictures must be embedded directly in the ad
Do not use links instead of embedded photos
If you are not currently in possession of the item and cannot provide real pictures, you may not list it for sale.

Price Is Required
Every ad must include a price.
If the ad is for trade only, you must clearly state that.
However, a trade value is still required in the body of the ad.

Description Is Required
Please accurately describe the item you are selling or trading.
Helpful information includes:
Condition
Approximate round count
Age
Type of sights
Included magazines
Included accessories
Ammo, holsters, optics, or extras included
Any known issues or modifications
Be honest and clear.

Location Is Required
You must include your location in the ad.
At minimum, include your city.
It is also helpful to include:
Nearby major cross streets
General area
Preferred meeting location

6. Posting on Other Sites
If you choose to list your item for sale on another site, remove your ad from this forum.

---

7. Bumping Ads
“Bumping” means replying to your own thread to move it back to the top of the listings.
Bumping is allowed once every 3 days.
Early or excessive bumps may result in:
The bump being deleted
The ad being locked
The ad being deleted
An infraction or warning
Do not create a new ad for the same item instead of bumping the original post.
If something changes, update the original ad.

8. Marking Items as Sold
When your item sells, edit the ad and place SOLD at the top of the body of the post.
Do not delete the original content of the ad.

9. Contact Information
You may share your contact information if you choose, but we strongly recommend using the forum’s private messaging system.
For your privacy and security, avoid posting:
Phone numbers
Email addresses
Personal contact information
If you send someone your contact information by private message, it is helpful to reply to the thread with something like:
“PM sent.”
This lets the other member know to check their messages.

10. Ratings and Feedback
The forum has a rating and feedback system for buyers and sellers.
After completing a transaction, please take a moment to leave feedback for the other member.
Feedback helps the community identify reliable members and avoid problem users.
Negative feedback may be reviewed by site staff. Members who repeatedly cause problems may be removed from the site.

11. Flakes and No-Shows
If you commit to a deal or make arrangements with another member, you are expected to follow through.
If something comes up, communicate as soon as possible. Most people understand when plans change, but failing to show up without communication is not acceptable.
Members who fail to show up for an agreed transaction may be removed from the site.
If another member flakes on you, report it to staff. Failure to report problem behavior makes it harder for staff to protect the community.

12. Post Crapping
Do not interfere with another member’s sales thread.
“Post crapping” includes, but is not limited to:
Complaining about the price
Criticizing the seller’s trade value
Making negative comments that do not contribute constructively
Arguing in the thread
Derailing the post
Price complaints are considered post crapping.
If you want to negotiate, do so privately.

13. Negotiating Price or Trade Value
All negotiations must take place by private message.
Do not post offers, counteroffers, or price complaints in the sales thread.
Do not comment publicly about your dissatisfaction with the seller’s asking price or trade value.
Respect basic forum etiquette.

14. Duplicate or Missing Ads
Do not resubmit an ad simply because it is not immediately visible.
Sometimes posts are flagged by the software and placed into a moderation queue for review.
If you believe your ad is waiting for approval, contact a moderator or administrator by private message.
Repeatedly resubmitting the same ad may result in:
Duplicate posts being deleted
An infraction or warning
Additional moderation action

15. Old Posts
Do not reply to very old sales posts.
If a post is over one year old, contact the seller by private message instead of replying to the thread.
The item is most likely already sold.
Posts made before June 1, 2020, have been locked. If you need your thread unlocked, contact an administrator.

16. Multiple, Alternate, or Troll Accounts
Multiple accounts, alternate accounts, and troll accounts are not allowed.
If a member is found to have multiple accounts, they may be required to explain why.
If you cannot access your original account or are having password issues, contact a forum administrator.
Do not create another account.
Creating additional accounts may result in:
A permanent infraction
Suspension
A full ban from the site

17. Enforcement
These rules exist to keep the forum clean, legal, safe, and useful for everyone.
Administrators and moderators will enforce the rules as needed. Enforcement decisions are made at the discretion of the individual administrator or moderator.
Possible enforcement actions include:
Post deletion
Thread locking
Warnings
Infractions
Temporary suspension
Permanent ban
We aim to be fair, but we will also be firm.
Read the rules before posting. If you do not agree with the rules, you are free to leave the forum and use another platform.

Quick Posting Checklist
Before posting a firearm for sale or trade, make sure your ad includes:
Real pictures taken by you
A clear price or trade value
Accurate description
Your location
Whether the item is for sale, trade, or both
Any included extras
No auction links
No prohibited items
No 80% receivers
No NFA items
If your ad does not meet these requirements, it may be deleted or locked.
