Riley Defense AK-74, and why are they bad?

I've been told that Riley has terrible quality control, or that I should just get a parts kit. But I have not been told what makes them bad. So what gives?

Simple google search reveals plenty.

I considered one of these years ago cause they were cheap - and changed my mind after the reviews and spent the extra and bought an arsenal.

In that price range though, your options are them, Palmetto, Century, etc.

TBH, I would probably go with Palmetto if my budget was less than a grand these days......

Wait and save up for a quality brand. Some folks are likely going to dump their 5.45 AKs due to the recent import ban news.

I'm not worried about the import ban. It will take just a little bit of time for all of that 'Russian-made' ammo to be shipped to and repackaged as hailing from some other E. European nation. Just chill.....
