S&W 27-2 pinned and recessed with 3 1/2" barrel. Good shooting gun but with no real collectors value if that's what you're looking for.
Found this at a gun show a couple years back with damaged front sight, gouged wood grip, and speckled badly worn bluing. Replaced front sight by silver soldering a Bowen Custom spring loaded front sight base and adding an SDM fiber optic blade. Refinished entire gun with Brownells Oxpho-Blue. Came out more of a dark grey than usual blue black although looks a lot better than when I first bought it. A little pitting on crane and lower left side of frame. Replaced main spring and return spring with Wolff Reduced Power springs. Replaced original strain screw since it was almost stripped out. About an 8.75 ounce double action pull and 2.75 ounce single action pull with no push off. Minimal end shake, good barrel/cylinder gap, and good carry up. Will throw in original wood stocks and an old Bianchi right hand leather holster plus 3 HKS speed loaders. No box or papers.
